Reviews for The Beach Cafe Penmaenmawr
Review highlights
Based on 560 reviewsThe Beach Cafe Penmaenmawr consistently receives positive feedback for its welcoming atmosphere, friendly and efficient service, and well-prepared, generously portioned breakfasts. Patrons appreciate the cafe’s clean and cozy setting, often highlighting its scenic location by the promenade which adds to the overall dining experience. The food quality is frequently described as fresh and appetizing, with special mention of perfectly cooked eggs and non-greasy meals. While the service is generally swift, the cafe does become busier mid-morning. A recurring practical note is the cash-only payment policy, which visitors are advised to plan for in advance. Minor critiques include the noise from moving chairs, though this is typically mentioned in a lighthearted manner. Additionally, the cafe’s dog-friendly environment is an appreciated bonus for guests with pets. Overall, The Beach Cafe Penmaenmawr is regarded as a charming spot for a satisfying breakfast in a relaxed seaside setting.
Scrummy breakfast well cooked and served quickly. Friendly service and not too busy at 10.30. Got quite a bit busier by 11. This was in late August. One criticism...moving the chairs sets ones' teeth on edge due to the squeaks and scrapes (think blackboard and finger nails...). We found it funny but if we'd been here for longer it could have been annoying.
A little cafe situated at the end of the promenade in Penmaenmawr, it's a lovely stroll along the front to get into the cafe area. The cafe is lovely and clean with friendly staff, the service was quick and the full breakfast was nicely cooked with a good portion. Fully recommend a visit and remember cash only.
Lovely food, great service and beautiful views - so glad we found this cafe! Definitely a favourite we shall return to again and again. Also dog friendly, so a bonus for us!
Lovely little cafe on the promenade Friendly, helpful staff, food was nice, good size portions too. Just be aware that they have a cash payment system. The lovely Lady directed us to a cash machine not far away (10 minute walk)
A lovely cafe, I popped into here whilst friends walked their dogs down the promenade. I was feeling peckish and decided on the Full Monty Breakfast and it was lovely. Everything there was cooked perfectly and not greasy at all, the poached egg was standout but everything was great. All cooked and served by a friendly and efficient staff and everyone enjoyed their meals.
lovely place for food and drinks owner and staff are lovely definitely recommend I've been going here for many years our annual doggy holiday
Just what the doctor ordered. Small stroll from the car park to blow the cobwebs then a banging breakfast with a mocha and view
Great little cafe on the front overlooking the beach and sea. Staff are very pleasant and prices fair. Couple of huge ice creams on this trip. Cost 5. Only downside is that it's cash only which can be a pain when the Spar ATM machine is not working. We would have stayed for a full lunch if we had the cash.
